Heirloom Quilt Box

This beautiful quilt box is from the Wildflower Saloon SVG Kit (SVG Cuts). The top is not just flat, but has a pillow effect, and is quite striking.

This is the first one I made.

Most are digital papers, and there are a couple of Graphic 45 papers in there as well.
The bands around the side were blotted with some metallic silver and green Color Bursts paints. It has a really nice shimmer.
The size of this large box is 11.5" square, and 4" tall.
I made a second one with some cute paper from Samatha Walker, called Kokeshi. I also decreased this one to 60% of the original.
This cute mini red rik-rak trim on the sides was some that was my grandma's. So, it must be around 70 years old. She was a real seamstress, and I have an entire box of old trims, seam bindings and rik-raks that were about 10 cents a package at the time. It makes this one pretty special to me.
The following photo shows you the comparison of the two sizes of the quilt box. The dimensions of the small quilt box are just shy of 7" square by 2-3/8" tall.
This particular cut file is a bit harder to make to a smaller size, so I probably wouldn't to it again. But, it is a cute size.

Time to snuggle up with a quilt!
